elcome to and from January everyone! What a month, that's all I can say. I made a lot of art and food this January so that's nice. Also, the entire site has had a pretty decent overhaul, mainly with css reorganization, but also some formatting and new backgrounds. I am also hoping to revive a Big Project (tm) soon, so I am excited about (maybe) doing that.

Projects

S

omething has gotten into me this month and I am cranking out art like someone's paying me to do it. I finished my illuminated flower alphabet (!!!), a ponyo painting, and some borders. I am honestly so proud of myself for completing the alphabet series because I never finish anything.

F

or the rest of the illuminated letters series, we have Iris, Jimsonweed, Kudzu, Lotus, Marigold, Nemesia, Orchids, Pansies, Queen Anne's Lace, Roses, Sunflower, Thistle, Ume, Vanilla, Wisteria, fla(X), Yerba Mansa, and Zinnia!

A

nd here they are all together, plus a compilation of the individual flowers! I honestly hate A through D but I am BURNT OUT! and will leave those for future me to amend. I will start using these on the site because I have been itching for some cute letters to throw into my pages! I also think it'd be fun to make some borders/buttons using the flowers. Unfortunately I merged the layers before copying the complete Marigold flower over so it is lost forever < / 3 .

I

also finished a little ponyo painting, from my favorite scene in the movie. Ponyo has been my son's favorite movie lately so I have an excuse to watch the movie like 3 times a week. The music is great too.

Lastly I have two new borders! Here is a vine wrapped frame...

And some roses, for my ~valentine's day~ front page.

Recipes

I

added recipes for beef stew and yorkshire puddings, which I obviously did not photograph, because uhhhh oops. Just imagine a delicious stew. My recipe page is going to go under a major redesign soon so I am not too concerned about the photo situation at the moment.

H

owever you CAN see the pumpkin muffins I have been making. I made a ton for the freeze we had down here (16 muffins oops), and the picture doesn't really show it but they are jumbo sized too, lol. We also have my first sourdough loaf after bringing my starter back to life! I am trying to perfect the most minimal effort way to make a decent loaf, because the Sourdough Community does way too much and I just want some fresh bread to dip in my soup. Also I swear the crust had a much better color in person, it just looks so washed out in the photo!

I

feel I am starting this year very strong as far as my creative hobbies go. I have also been consistent with lifting weights so my buff character arc is still coming, folks! Goodbye and see you at the end of February < 3 < 3
