hese are all my own photos of local flowers. As you may tell by some of the names, these were taken primarily in Texas. Texas has a famously abundant and beautiful wildflower season, typically spanning from March to May. Wildflowers fill large fields, span along roads, and grow anywhere else in between.

I have always really struggled to find pride in my state, considering our political climate in general but especially right now. I feel more connected to this place when I see our amazing variety of life and see that nature is here to stay, even with the asphalt and concrete.
