hese are all my own photos of local plants. As you may be able to tell by some of the names, these photos are taken primarily in Texas. Texas has a famously abundant and beautiful wildflower season, typically spanning from March to May. Wildflowers fill large fields, span along roads, and grow anywhere else in between.


I

have always really struggled to find pride in my home state, considering our political climate in general but especially right now. Despite everything, I feel more connected to my home state when I see all the wildflowers in bloom and get reminded that nature will be here to stay and that there are many people here willing to fight for that.
